We're on the same bandwagon, but oh the criticism I have received for posting similar articles in the past. At the first magazine article describing rising wheat prices because wheat crops had been turned under to provide more corn crops which were more profitable thanks to those big subsidies. Almost overnight wheat flour doubled in price and put sticker shock on many a bakery. As long as we're on the topic of government spending, do you think we could get all those foreign aid programs canceled. Most of them benefit people who want to kill us and those that don't, don't need the aid but came about for some failed peace process. Don't stop there, we have a load of cutting to do in the spending area. This is one area John McCain will be good for America. I don't see breaking the oil addiction until we can break Congress' addiction to the revenue they get from it. Last year one oil company paid the government the equivalent of 2/3 all income tax revenues. 2/3 all income tax revenue by one company.

JudgeBob-

I fully agree that most foreign aid should be eliminated. In addtion agricultural subsidies should be eliminated as well. Savings in the hundreds of billions right there.

Don't hold your breath.
